This is an original painting by Renee Holder using artist grade acrylic paint on a 0.75" profile 8" x 8" wood panel. This is a textured piece and invites the viewer to gently touch the painting to engage more than one sense. The painting has been sealed to protect the painting from touch and UV light.
This painting is sold framed. The black wood frame elevates this painting with a floating effect. The frames profile height of 1 in 7/8" inches protects the wood panel and enables a variety of hardware to be used to hang the painting.
Artist Reflections: As an artist with Aphantasia I am not able to create an image in my mind and this creates unique challenges when imaging a new piece. I challenged myself to paint in abstract style with no reference. I like to include the circle shape in my work and made sure to include multiple in this piece, selecting their colors with great care. In creating lines, I made one side straight and rigid and the other side imperfect. Before putting away my brush, I added an extra splash of silver paint to rebel against the geometric shapes. The black floating frame is a beautiful compliment to the modern style of this painting.
