Full Kiln Rental - Luster Glaze Firing

Renee Holder Designs is offering luster glaze firing services for ceramic applications between cone 022 (1087°F) to 018 (1319°F) in Navasota, TX. This service is also appropriate for artists looking to rent space for glass techniques up to cone 1500°F. Contact Renee Holder to coordinate drop-off and discuss your specific firing needs. A luster glaze firing is a third firing for pieces that have already completed the glaze firing process and have an overglaze application such as gold, silver or mother of pearl that needs to be permanently affixed to a piece. The upmost care will be taken when firing the work provided, however there is always a chance the piece will crack, explode or not react as expected. I fire pieces as received and assume no responsibility for any firing or building issues that occur. 

Customer must know the clay and all glazes used to ensure pieces are fired at the correct temperature. If glaze has characteristics of movement, an appropriate glaze-free space should be left above the bottom of the piece and you must provide kiln shelf protection including a cookie or stilts at drop-off. This service is to rent the full kiln for luster glaze firing services, not a guarantee of the finished product. I reserve the right to refuse any work.
