This is an original painting by Renee Holder using artist grade acrylic paint on a 0.75" profile 8" x 8" wood panel. This is a textured piece and invites the viewer to gently touch the painting to engage more than one sense. The painting has been sealed to protect the painting from touch and UV light.
This painting is sold framed. The black wood frame elevates this painting with a floating effect. The frames profile height of 1 in 7/8" inches protects the wood panel and enables a variety of hardware to be used to hang the painting.
Artists Reflections: When creating this piece, my focus was on creating a unique piece with texture using acrylic molding paste. Using an aliens skeleton as a reference enables creative freedom and removes barriers. The molding paste enabled me to create depth and a pleasing texture that captured the different layers of paint used to create depth and add a touch of color to this subtle palette.
